Area Volunteer Role

The size of the area can be as small as two churches which are in close proximity, or as large as a particular city, an entire state or even multiple states, depending on the volunteer’s available time and level of commitment.

Area volunteers will have their name and e-mail address posted on the Compass Catholic website so people who are viewing the website can contact them directly for assistance. Referrals may also be made to area volunteers from the Compass Catholic Service Center.

Responsibilities

The area volunteers are responsible to proactively work with churches and dioceses in their area to promote the use of Compass Catholic materials. They will be a resource for local churches and dioceses to assist the church volunteers in developing a small team, training volunteers, implementing the different studies, and helping local contacts get to know each other.

Knowledge

The area volunteers need to be knowledgeable about the studies and workshops offered by Compass Catholic and the resources available on the Compass Catholic website. The area volunteer should also have experience in leading a Compass Small Group Study.

Compass is staffed by volunteers who have a passion for this ministry and are interested in using their time, talent and treasure to serve God. If you are interested in learning more about how to get involved, please contact us – we welcome your participation!
